Trivia league software for weekly nights
One great trivia night brings people in. A league gives them a reason to come back next week. QuizTreff tracks seasons, regular teams and standings so you can run the league without a spreadsheet.
No credit card needed to try it.
Why a league changes your trivia night
Without a league, every week starts from zero. The team that won last Tuesday has no more reason to show up than anyone else. With a season running, the same team now has a lead to defend, and the team in third place has a gap to close. That small bit of continuity is what turns a casual crowd into regulars.
Leagues also give the bar something to talk about. A season finale, a trophy at the end of the quarter or a free round for the champions are all easy to promote once there is a real standings table behind them.
Seasons built on recurring nights
Set up your weekly trivia as a recurring night once. QuizTreff creates the upcoming dates for you, so every Tuesday or Thursday is already on the calendar with your usual start time. When you create a season, you choose its start and end dates and how results count toward the table.
Each night you play inside that window feeds the season automatically. You do not copy scores from one sheet to another after closing time. When the season ends, you start a new one and the old table stays saved, so last season can still be viewed.
Regular teams that keep their history
Teams change their lineup from week to week. Somebody brings a cousin, somebody else is out of town. In QuizTreff a regular team is a team, not a list of people, so nobody needs an account and the team keeps its results no matter who sits at the table.
When a team shows up with a slightly different name, you can link it to the regular team instead of starting a new record. If two records turn out to be the same team, you merge them. The system suggests matches, but linking and merging are always your call.
Standings your players can follow
The season table ranks teams across all the nights you have played so far. Put it on the big screen before the first round so teams know what is at stake tonight, or show it at the halftime break while drinks get refilled.
The league screen is a separate view you can open on a TV or projector with its own link. It shows the season standings without the host console, which makes it easy to leave running near the bar or the entrance during the week.
What a league night looks like
A typical league night follows the same rhythm every week, which is part of the appeal for players.
- Open the night from your recurring schedule. The date, venue and start time are already set.
- Show the season table while teams arrive and join with the QR code or on paper.
- Play your rounds as usual. Phone teams and paper teams score into the same table.
- Close the night. The results count toward the season right away.
- Show the updated league standings before people head home.

Frequently asked questions
Do players need an account to be part of the league?
No. Teams are tracked as teams. Players join each night with a code or play on paper, and the team keeps its season results.
Can I run more than one season at once?
Each season has its own dates and table, so you can run a spring season at one bar and a separate season at another venue.
What if a team plays under a new name one week?
You can link that night to the existing regular team, or merge two team records later if they turn out to be the same team.
Can I show the standings without the host console?
Yes. The league screen has its own link that you can open on a TV, projector or a laptop near the bar.
